6.1 Designofthemotors
ThelinearservomotorsfromtheAL2xxxseriesarebrushlessthreephasemotorsforhighqualityservo
applications.Inconjunctionwithourdigitalservodrivestheyareparticularlysuitableforpositioningtasksin
industrialrobots,machinetools,transferlines,handlingequipment,textilemachines,packagingmachines,
etc.withhighrequirementsfordynamicsandstability.ThemotorsfromtheAL2xxxseriesareintendedtobe
operatedexclusivelybythedigitalservodrivewithspeedandtorquecontrol.
Thelinearservomotorsareequippedwithpermanentmagnetsinthemagneticplate.Thisadvanced
neodymiummagneticmaterialmakesasignificantcontributiontothemotors'exceptionaldynamic
properties.Athreephasecoilsuppliedbytheservodriveishousedinthecoilunit.Themotorhasno
